Managing a small business means taking on many rôles.  One of these is to make presentations to various groups and individuals. You may know you have the best business, product or service but putting this over to the world at large requires selling the image and idea.  Identifying the type of presentation to be made, and making the necessary preparations, requires an investment of time and resources which must be used efficiently.  This learning session will lay the foundations for you to develop your own personal style, construct presentations with the minimum of disruption to routine, and deliver your message with confidence.

Course Objectives

In one day you will acquire the knowledge and skills to:

    Determine the form of presentation appropriate to its intended purpose and audience.

    Construct the content.

    Identify and use the support tools available for each presentation.

    Prepare for delivery; yourself, the presentation and the support material.

    Empathise with your audience during delivery to form that vital relationship.

    Invite feedback and deal with questions from the floor.

Anyone who wants to improve their presentation skills or overcome their fear of public speaking.  This course is suitable for employees, sole traders, partners and directors.

What to Expect

The course lays the foundations of public speaking for people who have never made presentations before or those who wish to improve their presentation skills.  All sessions will be inter-active and supported by instructions and feedback, with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills you are acquiring.  Course notes for future use will be provided, plus a suggested reading list to develop your style further.

    Outlining your action plan.
